What We’re Trained, Certified, & Covered For
We make sure our staff are properly trained for the safety of themselves, our clients, and the public. Many of our clients require certain certifications so we’ve listed them publicly here. You can read through them all below.
D1: Workplace Safety Certificate of Recognition (COR)
The Certificate of Recognition program is administered by the Alberta Construction Safety Association, with certification being issued by the Alberta government.
Intrepid Property Maintenance has completed the following COR courses:
- Principles of Health & Safety Management
- Auditor Training
- Leadership for Safety Excellence
- Train-the-trainer for WHMIS
The Workplace Safety Certificate of Recognition is a highly esteemed safety training designation. You can feel safe knowing that our company will provide you one of the safest work environments in Lethbridge and the Greater Surrounding Area.

D2: Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) Certification
SPRAT is an International Trade Association that advances the safe use of industrial rope access through education, standards development, and training of rope access techniques.
SPRAT certificate available upon request.
D3: Alberta Temporary Traffic Control (ATTC) Certification
This course was designed by Alberta traffic control technicians in partnership with the American Traffic Safety Services Association. It’s delivered by traffic control experts with help from the Alberta Construction Safety Association.
If your project requires hoarding permits, our company is certified to arrange them and to implement our own traffic plans. This ensures that your project proceeds without delay and that everyone’s safety is responsibly addressed.
Additionally, we’ve acquired certification through the Alberta Construction Safety Association for Flagperson duties.
ATTC and Flagperson certificates available upon request.
D4: Swing-Stage – SAIT Certification
This course was offered by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) Polytechnic and was designed for the swing-stage industry for window washers. It taught swing-stage rigging and safe operation in conjunction with OHS Codes.

D5: IICRC Certified Technicians
The IICRC is a nonprofit certification and Standards Developing Organization (SDO) for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industries.
Hiring a certified technician ensures trusted and trained cleaning, restoration and inspection professionals.
Our certification includes water, flooding and sewer back up restoration, trauma scene clean up and decontamination, unattended death, homicide, suicide, gross filth clean up and hoarders.
D6: Other Training & Coverage
Manlift operators have been trained by a certified Trainer.
Company orientation by COR-certified safety officer
New employees are given a thorough Company Orientation before commencing work duties.
In-house training by experienced technicians
Employees receive classroom instruction, including tutorial videos, as well as on-the-job training from experienced technicians. Where applicable, specialized training and certification is delivered.
Safety meetings overseen by COR-certified safety officer
Scheduled employees attend weekly and monthly safety meetings which follow specific agendas.
Workplace hazard assessments
All job sites have a hazard assessment conducted before work begins, and a Workplace Hazard Assessment Form accompanies each work order.
For each work order, crews are assigned an experienced crew member to take the lead in ensuring that all safety standards and company policies are adhered to. They keep in regular contact with the field manager and head office.
COR safety standards
All maintenance operations are performed to the standards of our company’s Workplace Safety COR Certification.
Security clearance/background check
For customers who require a security clearance, our employees pass background checks.
Workers’ Compensation Board coverage
Our company carries WCB insurance to benefit both our customers and employees. Workers’ Compensation Board coverage available upon request
Liability Insurance Coverage
Our Company carries $5,000,000 of coverage, ensuring that sufficient coverage is in place if necessary. A certificate of insurance can be made available upon the awarding of your contract.
